Our fully equipped fruit testing laboratory is at the heart of our research and provides the business with timely and accurate data.You'll be kept busy with the following tasks and responsibilities:Supporting our Laboratory Manager with the day to day running of our kiwifruit testing laboratory.Supervise, train and support our small team of laboratory technicians and manage workflow together with the Laboratory Manager.Undertake testing of kiwifruit and ensure our team maintains high analytical standards and data integrity.Your versatility and flexibility will come to the fore by assisting our researchers and other staff with their projects, which may include on-orchard assessments.In this role you will be able to showcase the following skills and experience:You have staff supervision experience and enjoy leading a high performing team.Accuracy and attention to detail are important to you.Your high level of organisational capability and communication skills will help the team keep on track and meet deadlines.You can work some longer hours from time to time in response to the seasonal demands of the lab.You enjoy the stimulation provided by a culturally diverse team of casual staff.Your experience working in a laboratory environment or performing fruit testing is highly desirable.Benefits of joining the Start Afresh team:Professional Growth: Full training will be provided.
