Your role will be pivotal in managing client projects, maintaining compliance with ISO 17025 standards, and delivering timely, high-quality reports.
You will also contribute to specialised analyses primarily in the chromatography area, e.g., fatty acid and amino acid profiles to support our service provision.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Management: Guide and develop the Nutrition Lab staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.Client & Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring excellent service delivery.Innovation & Change: Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the lab, contributing to equipment maintenance and operational protocols.Qualifications & Experience:Evidence of senior-level stakeholder and client-facing activities.Minimum 10 years' lab experience in a commercially based role, preferably in the food industry (either for human or animal consumption) or commercial analytical laboratory.Previous experience in people management and leading high-throughput food analysis teams.Strong background in analytical techniques and methodologies relevant to the food industry.Appointment is reflective of skills and experience aligned to Grade 6 ($67,184 - $95,514) and located in Palmerston North.If you are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role that makes a real impact, apply now to become our next Laboratory Manager.
