With strong development in our district, and a supportive, diverse working environment, in anorganisationwhich values its community and its people, there's never been a better time to make the move toWhangarei District Council.About you and the role:Are you an experience leader who can continue the great success of our IANZ accredited laboratory?An opportunity has arisen to take the reins of our Lab and the fantastic team that provides a critical service to our community.To be successful in this role you will lead our small specialist team who are responsible for:Collecting water, wastewater and a range of other environmental samples and undertaking the ensuing chemical and microbiological analysisRecording of and assistance with interpretation of resultsMeeting quality management objectivesGeneral laboratory analysis and assistance to customersWe are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who will have an appropriate tertiary qualification in science and relevant laboratory work experience as well as a proven track record in leadership.Working within CouncilHere at Whangarei District Council, we take genuine pride in having one of New Zealand's most welcoming and supportive work environments, with the awards to prove it.
