About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated LaboratoryAssistant to join our Specimen Services team. This role is crucial insupporting the smooth operation of our laboratory and ensuring the higheststandards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Registerpatients, add tests, and provide access to results.Unpackand store laboratory consumables.Sortand input sample data accurately into the computer system.Interpretand process laboratory request forms.Checkdata for completeness and accuracy.Respondto telephone inquiries via our Lab line call centre.About you Registrationor eligibility for registration with the Medical Sciences Council of NewZealand.Abilityto maintain high professional standards aligned with the competencestandards.Understandingof or willingness to learn the significance and obligations under TeTiriti o Waitangi.Commitmentto physical and mental well-being, with the stamina to meet role demands.Provenability to build and maintain positive relationships with diversestakeholders.Astrong drive for excellence and personal accountability.Self-awarenessand the ability to positively influence others.Highstandards of personal, professional, and institutional integrity.Akeen interest in professional growth and development.Acurious mindset with a willingness to challenge routines to improveprocesses.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving ofwellnesses.
