Job Description - Laboratory Administrator (TAR05428) Laboratory Administrator Vacancy No Vacancy No : TAR05428 Labcare Pathology at Taranaki Base Hospital currently have a permanent 1.0 FTE, Laboratory administrator position available. The role requires a patient centred person to maintain patient flow for our busy phlebotomy rooms and therapeutic venesection clinic. In addition, there will be clerical work associated with the smooth running of a clinical laboratory, assisting with data entry and auditing. The hours of work would be 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate would become part of a team covering our reception area and aid with other administration tasks required by senior scientists. The Laboratory covers the following disciplines: - Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Transfusion Science, Point of care Testing and Specimen Services. We welcome all applicants with the following attributes: Have an interest in science or medical field. Experience with using Microsoft office, Excel and windows 365, would be desirable. Experience with minute taking, data entry, document editing and maintaining databases would be required. Patient focus with great customer service skills required. Booking patients into our outpatient therapeutic clinics. A high level of attention to detail is essential. Proven ability to work in a team environment. We are a Hospital Laboratory that provides a 24 hour a day - 7 days a week service.
