Technical Recruitment Solutions – Auckland, North IslandThe CompanyJoin a fully independent laboratory that provides transportation fuels, biofuels, industrial and environmental laboratory testing services to a wide range of customers throughout New Zealand and the Southwest Pacific. This company operates two IANZ accredited laboratories in New Zealand and is part of an independent New Zealand energy infrastructure company that operates a connected network of fuel importation, pipeline, and storage hub assets with an aspiration for growth.This company and job is based in Northland. You must be willing to relocate to Northland for this opportunity.The JobAs a Laboratory Subject Matter Expert, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the laboratory testing and analysis services.In particular, you will:Maintain and ensure continuous improvements in laboratory processes and proceduresDevelop new methods and procedures as requiredShare your technical knowledge and assist in upskilling and training othersEnsure laboratory quality control (including maintenance, testing, and calibration)Lead projects and provide technical support to daily operationsThe PersonWe are looking for someone with:Relevant Chemistry tertiary qualificationAt least 5 years' experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably in the petrochemical industry, especially renewable fuels (SAF, synthetic diesel, biofuels).Proven technical knowledge of fuels, instrumentation, and gas analysis.Fuels experience highly advantageous.Leadership skills and ability to work in and influence a team.Great attitude and communication skills.Strong problem-solving skills.Current right to work in NZ - essential.Happy to work and live in Northland - essential.This job requires a 'self-starter', a person motivated by growth and success, underpinned by a quality and compliance focus, with a drive to solve problems and deliver excellence in what you do.
