The Business
We are in the final stages of completing a full refit of this Auckland institution! La Zeppa was established in 2005. La Zeppa is a large scale venue with a 140 seat restaurant, indoor bar, and rooftop terrace bar.
With our new refit, we are putting dining as the primary focus for our offering and are looking for a Head Chef to help us execute this vision. We are set to offer an elevated dining experience that celebrates both innovation and tradition with our menu.
The Role
As our Head Chef, you will be at the helm of this relaunch, driving the execution of our new and exciting menu. You will lead a talented team and ensure that every dish that leaves the kitchen goes out at the highest standard. This role is ideal for an inspired, hard-working individual, with a commitment to high standards.
Your main responsibilities include:
Work with our Executive Chef to implement a new and innovative menu that reflects the refreshed concept of La Zeppa.
Lead, mentor, and inspire the kitchen team to achieve excellence.
Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes.
Manage kitchen operations, including rostering, ordering, and stock-taking to plan and manage food costs.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

The Pay
We're proud to offer a highly competitive pay rate of $95,000 - $120,000 per annum or $40 - $50 per hour for this position. Skills / Experience
We are looking for an energetic, passionate, and hard-working candidate.
The ideal candidate will be someone with:
Proven experience as a Head Chef.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong leadership and culinary skills.
Energy and enthusiasm to share with your team.
Proven experience in a fast-paced high-end kitchen environment.
