About the opportunity | Te whiwhinga mahi A 12-month fixed-term opportunity has arisen in our Te Awamutu Site for a motivated individual for our L8 Supervisor – Processing role to lead our high performing team to outstanding results in our manufacturing operations. As a L8 Supervisor you'll be using your leadership experience to supervise and coach a great team. Keeping a strong focus on Health & Safety, you'll be monitoring all parts of the Powder process from Milk in through to packing whilst optimising plant efficiency and maintaining a high focus on product quality. You will supervise on a day-to-day basis, production & packing processes to meet and optimize operational targets, product specifications, regulatory requirements and administrative information systems. Your mechanical aptitude will allow you to confidently run diagnostics and problem solve on computerised machinery, and your strong attention to detail will ensure you can keep an eye on quality control and maintain product to tight customer specifications while ensuring documentation is up to date. You will also be responsible for the following: Planning and allocating work & resources. Monitoring and providing feedback on staff performance and development. Managing time and attendance systems. Leading and role modelling H&S, product quality and production. Investigate and respond to issues and problems. Contribute towards continuous improvement focuses. About you | Ko wai koe Whilst a passion for continuous improvement is a pivotal aspect of this role, other ideal skills include: Previous leadership experience. A positive role model who increases team moral and leads by example. Sound planning and problem-solving ability. Good communication skills. Great computer systems literacy.
