Commencing term 1, 2025.
PASS seeks a passionate, NZ registered teacher to join our culturally rich school. We are committed to delivering a Pacific-centred education and seek an educator who embraces this vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach within the NZ Curriculum Te Mataiaho and our Hala Curriculum.
Integrate Aotearoa and Pasifika histories, cultures, and pedagogies into teaching.
Use inquiry-driven approaches to engage learners and support their unique identities.
Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Collaborate with colleagues and the wider community to enhance student outcomes.
Strong understanding of culturally responsive practices for Pasifika and Maori learners.
Effective strategies for teaching literacy and numeracy.
Fluency in a Pacific language and/or te reo Maori is advantageous; fluency in additional languages is favourable.
Primary teaching experience and ability to work across curriculum is an advantage.
Additional Information:
Terms, conditions, and base salary are set by the relevant collective agreement, with salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
