Be a respected role model. Positively impact tamariki. Leading community-based NZ organisation. Ongoing training and development.
About Us:
Here at the Graeme Dingle Foundation, it is our mission to make NZ the best place in the world for tamariki to grow up. Helping to show Kiwi Kids that what they have inside is greater than any obstacle.
Operating in 40 communities across 10 regions, and impacting almost 28,000 young people, through proven programmes, the Graeme Dingle Foundation is dedicated to transforming young Kiwi lives forever.
The Role and Team:
Our Kiwi Can Team is the best team in the country! We pride ourselves on living and role modeling our foundation's set of values through our every action: Manaaki, Pono, Whakawhanaungatanga, and Manawaroa.
Working in gender-balanced teams of two, you and your teammate will together plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons and activities for tamariki aged 5-12 in kura throughout our region.
Each student visits a Kiwi Can class once a week to enjoy a positive, uplifting environment that encourages self-belief and confidence.
Kiwi Can offers an opportunity to learn through experience, so the knowledge is quick to recall should our tamariki ever need it.
Specifically you will:
Plan and deliver fun & energetic values-based activities meeting the NZ Curriculum
Interpret lesson plans and tailor them to the class and situation; no two classes are ever the same
Build confidence and shape values
Empower children to overcome challenges
Build strong relationships with tamariki, Kura, and local community members
Honour Te Tiriti
