As the food service provider for New Plymouth Girls' High School, we cater for approximately 110 students who board on site during the school term, as well as operate the school cafeteria, and manage the school cleaning.
Our aim is to provide a home away from home with a delicious meal service that supports health and wellbeing and provides the fuel needed for success.
We are seeking casual staff to work as and when required, providing cover and support for a variety of shifts between 6am and 7pm over 7 days per week.
Perfect for those looking for flexibility to work around life's other commitments.
These positions involve: • Assisting with food preparation, service, and clearing away afterwards.
• preparing food to menu requirements under the direction of a chef manager.
• ensuring the kitchen is safe and hazard free by doing dishes, removing rubbish, and cleaning.
• topping up supplies, helping to keep things running smoothly, and left clean and tidy at the end of shift.
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting of school and hostel facilities.
Who You Are: • a flexible team player who can stay cool under pressure.
• able to work safely in an industrial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
• able to take initiative and be comfortable to work unsupervised when required.
• bulk cooking experience would be an advantage, either within a commercial kitchen, or as an accomplished home cook.
