About the Role We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to take over the leadership of our Kitchen at our Whangarei Park Village. You will have the opportunity to lead and influence the kitchen team to continue to build upon our reputation for fantastic food and excellent service.
Key Responsibilities will include: Oversee daily kitchen operations - which runs 7 days a week - including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.Manage staff & food costs and put in place initiatives to achieve targets.Engage with residents to create a partnership approach to food & service.Ensure the dining environment is delivered to a high standard.Create a culture of self-leadership, creativity, training, and continuous improvement.Manage appropriate supplier relationships and purchasing to ensure best practice.Establish and maintain systems to review and ensure compliance with prescribed Kitchen audit standards.Responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of self and others within the workplace.About You You will have at least three plus years in a food and beverage hospitality management role, with sound technical cooking skills, cost control, and stock management. You will be a natural leader and able to build a culture of service second to none. You have strong IT skills to enable you to effectively navigate the digital side of the role. Above all, you are keen to make every day better for our residents and keep them coming back for more!
