Each day, our interactions with our team and residents are guided by three values: Being There | In it Together | Look for a Way.Job DescriptionMo te turanga | About the opportunityAs Kitchen Manager, you play a vital role in the wellbeing of our residents by providing high-quality, safe, and appetising meals that meet our resident's individual nutrition needs.As part of our leadership team, you will also be responsible for the overall smooth and efficient running of the kitchen service including supply and budget requirements, team management (including roster coordination), compliance with our Food Control Plan, and collaboration with others to deliver a first-class experience for our residents.Our Attitude of Living Well approach is an important philosophy at Arvida, and you will work alongside other team members across the organisation to practice and promote 'Eating Well', setting goals, and taking steps to meet our internal gold standard.QualificationsTo tatou kaitono pai | What you bringRelevant qualifications.Current NZ Food Safety Certificate.At least 3 years' experience as Head Cook, Chef, or Kitchen Manager within the aged care industry or a similar environment.Good level of computer literacy including Excel and Outlook.Effective oral and written communication skills.Leadership style that inspires and motivates, with a management approach that creates a harmonious and effective team culture.Ability to manage a budget.Flexibility, adaptability and able to work well under pressure with good time management.Empathy towards older adults, good interpersonal and customer service skills.Honesty, reliability, and integrity.Creative and open-minded.Additional InformationHe aha ta maatau e tuku | What we offer40 hours per week Monday to FridayA very competitive market rateOngoing training and team benefitsAn engaging and positive work environmentIf you have a passion for wellness, collaborating with others, and purpose-led work, we'd love to hear from you!Along with your CV, please submit a cover letter outlining what you'll bring to the role and your fit for Arvida.
