Kitchen Helper / Cafe Worker

Our client based in Auckland is currently looking for individuals to join our team as a Kitchen Helper / Cafe Worker.
Minimum 30+ hours/week Multiple Positions available.
Responsibilities: Help completing basic food preparation tasks.
Preparing and assisting chefs in other basic cooking activities.
Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes.
Clean and maintain high hygiene standards in kitchens, food preparation areas, and sculleries.
Cleaning kitchen and food preparation areas, plates, and other cooking utensils.
Storing raw food materials like flour, spices, vegetables, etc.
safely.
Packing take-away orders.
Job Requirements: 1 year experience in a kitchen environment is preferable.
We will provide full training.
Strong organizational skills to assist cooks/chefs.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to the demands of a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good communication and understanding skills.
A 'can do' attitude to perform duties.
Handling, sorting, and distributing food items as directed by the head chef.
Ensuring the kitchen is clean and sanitary at all times.
Basic knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Willing to work from 10 AM to 10 PM & weekends are a must.
Availability during late night closing, weekends, public holidays, and during Christmas and New Year's break.
