Job Title: Kitchen Hand / Kitchen Assistant Location: Grill House Buffer, 70G Grand Drive, Orewa, Auckland

Reports to: Head Chef
Salary: Starting hourly rate $29.66 per hour
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of food ingredients, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and pre-cooking procedures. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking care of the equipment. Assist in receiving and storing supplies, ensuring all food supplies are stored correctly to maintain freshness and comply with food safety standards. Support the cooking staff with various tasks as needed, including handling fryers, grills, and other kitchen equipment. Dispose of waste and recyclables properly, and manage the storage of unused food. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with restaurant policies and procedures. Assist in setting up and breaking down the buffet areas, ensuring food presentation is appealing and maintained throughout service hours. Requirements: E xperience in a kitchen or similar role is advantageous. Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. High standard of cleanliness and reliability. Flexibility with work hours, including availability on weekends and public holidays.
