Job Description:
We are currently seeking a proactive and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant. The work hours for this position are from 8:00 to 13:00, Monday to Friday, and alternate Saturdays. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including food preparation, assisting with frying and baking, and providing assistance wherever needed in the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
Support the fryer station by helping with frying activities, ensuring timely and consistent results.
Aid in baking tasks, following recipes and maintaining quality standards.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during peak hours.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
Assist in restocking ingredients and ensuring proper inventory levels.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a safe working environment.
Provide support to chefs and cooks as needed, contributing to an efficient and cohesive kitchen team.
Requirements:
Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to different kitchen responsibilities.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Good understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
