Kitchen Hand

We are looking for a senior kitchenhand to join our team.
Requirements: At least 6 months of work experience as a kitchenhand is required Knowledge of Thai (Asian) food ingredients and basic knowledge of how to prepare those ingredients.
Customer service skills, as you may have to assist with menu presentation and food services when needed.
Clean criminal record.
Honest and trustworthy.
Job Description: Ensuring cleanliness in kitchens, food prep areas, and sculleries.
Washing cooking and general utensils commonly used in kitchens and restaurants.
Managing the transfer, weighing, and inspection of supplies and equipment.
Organizing and preparing ingredients for cooking, including salads, savouries, and sandwiches.
Packing food and beverage trays for service.
Cooking, toasting, and warming up straightforward food items.
Potentially assisting with menu presentation and food service as needed.
Other Details: This is a full-time and permanent position.
Wage payment is $28.18 per hour, and you will be paid weekly.
Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law.
You will be working at 1-7 The Strand, Takapuna, Auckland.
Our operating hours are Lunch: Monday - Sunday 11 am – 2.30 pm, Dinner: Monday – Sunday 5 pm – 9.30 pm (these opening hours may be changed to suit the business).
You will work according to a roster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours).
Please note: Our restaurant opens on the weekends; therefore, the successful applicant must be able to work on the weekend.
