The role/Te mahiWe are seeking enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to work in our busy Arana and Te Rangihiroa College food service teams.
These roles include kitchen assistant duties such as general cleaning, food preparation, ensuring customer service exceeds expectations, and maintaining an immaculate and welcoming environment.

Previous experience in the hospitality industry would be an advantage, along with an ability to help develop respect between primary customers and staff.
About Our Team/Mo Te TimaThese positions are based at Arana College and Te Rangihiroa College, within the University Union's College Catering Department.
College Catering is a large food service operation producing over 8500 meals per day to eleven University Residential Colleges.
Both Colleges offer a full meal service to students and, outside of semester, are busy and vibrant conference and events locations.
Further details/PurokoThese are permanent, semester-time only positions (38 weeks a year, February to November), located in Dunedin, commencing January 2025.
The appointment range for this role is $25.53 per hour to $26.05 per hour.
Hours of work:Arana College - 40 hours per week on a rostered basis.Te Rangihiroa College - 40 hours per week on a rostered basis, which may include a mixture of 6.00am - 2.30pm or 11.30am – 7.30pm.
The University offers catering staff summer maintenance work as a Trades Assistant to those seeking employment outside of the academic year (November to February).
If there is a need, staff may be relocated to another University College on the Dunedin campus.
