Hours – 32 hours a week, working Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 2.30 pmShifts – Permanent part-timeAbout the RoleOur kitchen team is responsible for creating the highest standard Café Food for our staff, patients, and visitors. Following standardized recipes and using creative flair to present food that we can be proud of while maintaining clean and tidy working areas.A large part of this role is customer-focused, so you will need strong customer service skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds. Training will be provided.Salary - Starting rate $23.75 per hour. Based on the E tu Service and Food Workers collective agreement.Benefits - Time and a half on weekends and double time on Public Holidays!You will be responsible for:Assisting our cooks with preparing and presenting foodDelivering meals to our patients across the hospitalEnsuring that your workspace is clean and tidyWe are looking for a team player who is flexible and also willing to help out the cleaning team if required.About YouSkills and ExperienceSkilled kitchen assistant with experience within a similar environment would be idealStrong teamwork skills and the ability to work autonomously as wellPhysically fit and reliableWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellnesses.'
