Summerset in the Sun - Nelson is looking for an exceptional Kitchen Assistant to join the team on a casual contract basis!
About the Role: At Summerset, we place high value on providing an exceptional dining experience for our residents and visitors. To provide this, we have implemented a new food strategy to enhance the overall dining experience. Therefore, we are looking for a Kitchen Assistant who has a genuine interest in providing quality services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Following the requirements of the Food Control Plan to ensure that all elements are completed as documented.
Cleaning of all kitchen surfaces including washing dishes and removing rubbish from the kitchen.
Working with the chef to unload and put away stock.
Supporting the chef with food preparation.
From time to time, you may be required to work in the on-site Café supporting the Café Supervisor with daily operations.
This is a casual role working on an 'if and when required' basis.
Qualifications
About You: You will be outgoing, friendly, and have a can-do attitude accompanied by great communication skills. To be successful, you will bring:
Top class customer service to ensure a great experience for our residents and their guests.
The ability to provide high quality and timely support for the Chef.
