Kindergarten Teacher 0.65 Fte

Helen Deem is a 4.65fte teacher for kindergarten, operating 8:30am–2:30pm with 40 children, and remains open during term breaks.
Position to commence beginning of term 1, 2025.
This part-time position is 26 hours per week (including a maximum of 19.5 contact hours, and a minimum of 6.5 hours professional time) worked as follows:
Mondays 12–4:30pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30am–1:30pm
Wednesdays 8:15am–4:30pm
Fridays 10:30am–2:45pm
Dunedin Kindergartens is a party to the Kindergarten Teachers', Head Teachers', and Senior Teachers' Collective Agreement (KTCA). The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position will range from $61,329 to $103,086 per annum, pro rata, depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. The individual's actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
To be eligible to apply, you must:
Hold a current practicing certificate with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa
Have a level 7 or higher teaching qualification endorsed in early childhood education or primary (or have had your international qualifications assessed by NZQA to meet this requirement)
Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
Have a current first aid certificate or be able to obtain one prior to beginning the role.
