Account & Relationship Management (Sales)We are on the hunt for a dynamic FMCG Key Account Manager with a proven track record to steer and grow our sales in New Zealand and Australia.In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with formulating sales strategies, nurturing key accounts, fostering robust customer relationships, and guiding our sales agencies and distributors towards achieving ambitious sales targets. This role is key to driving profitable growth and shaping the future of our well-loved food business.This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and exciting FMCG company, working alongside a dedicated team and with guidance from our Chief Growth Officer.Role Overview:Sales Strategy : Craft and implement sales strategies and action plans to meet business goals and sales targets across New Zealand, Australia, and occasionally smaller markets.Account and Partner Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, negotiate contracts, and secure long-term partnerships to maximise sales opportunities.Market Analysis and New Business Development : Keep a pulse on market trends, identify new business opportunities, and innovate strategies for growth.Sales Operations : Conduct sales forecasting and analysis, manage budgets efficiently, and ensure alignment with our supply chain management to adapt to market demands.Product and Sales Expertise : Enhance product knowledge within the sales team and partners, ensuring a deep understanding of our products' unique selling points.Customer Service Excellence : Work with customer service teams to swiftly resolve customer issues, maintaining high satisfaction levels.Promotional Effectiveness and Profitability : Analyse promotional activities and conduct profitability analysis to guide strategic decisions, optimising our product range for sustainable growth.Financial Management : Utilise advanced financial modelling for strategic planning, and collaborate with finance and supply teams for accurate budgeting and forecasting.Pricing and Profitability Strategy : Partner with our sales agency to develop pricing strategies that ensure our products are competitively positioned while maintaining profitability.Operational management including promotional portals and GS1 image libraries.A flair for marketing and a will to succeed.Requirements:A minimum of 4+ years of experience in a key account management or similar role within the FMCG sector in New Zealand or Australia. Experience with either or ideally both Woolworths and Foodstuffs.Deep financial acumen, including expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and modelling.Demonstrated experience in promotional ROI analysis and marketing campaign evaluations.Exceptional leadership qualities, with strong team-building, negotiation, and communication skills.Analytical prowess, capable of interpreting complex data to derive actionable insights.A track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams.Solid understanding of pricing strategies, budget management, and profitability optimisation.Marketing and Engagement Expertise: Demonstrable flair for marketing, with experience in designing and participating in trade shows, conducting market research, and actively using customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product development. This includes a proven ability to engage with audiences, create compelling presentations, and leverage insights from customer interactions to drive business decisions and product innovations.Strategic Trade Spend Management: Proficiency in allocating and managing trade spend with a strategic approach to yield the highest ROI.
