With us you are empowered to act and shape your own career.The role:Your mission is to grow and develop our Compressor Technique business in the South Island region. You will be based in the branch office in Christchurch but you will be visiting customers in the wider South Island region as required.You will be the face of the Atlas Copco brand to our customers, and you will develop and maintain good customer relationships in the local market.You will be developing rapport and talking your customers' language to gain credibility whilst identifying new business opportunities and nurturing existing customer relationships.You will be delivering technical knowledge to your customers about our compressed air equipment and services. Responding to sales enquiries, preparing quotes, closing sales and maintaining your customer database are a part of your day-to-day tasks, which will be carried out at a professional level of service.The role is autonomous with loads of freedom to determine your own schedule, planning your day and making frequent visits to existing and potential customers and liaising with our in-house support teams.Our top-class CRM platform will be your compass to drive all these business development activities. Your customer visit reports, market analysis and timely, accurate market information will support management's development of business strategy.You will also have the opportunity to be part of ad-hoc project work and you will liaise with colleagues from other divisions to maximize our customer relationships and business outcomes wherever possible.What we expect from you:Proven sales experience ideally in the oil-free and industrial air equipment.At least 3 years of relevant work experience in Engineering or technical background or technical qualification.Sound technical understanding and interest in new products/technical developments.A clear understanding of optimized territory management.Strong sales techniques and communication skills.Very good knowledge of MS Office, comfortable using CRM platforms with desire to learn new systems.Excellent verbal and written English.Clean driving license, because this is a field-based job, and you will be travelling to visit customers as required.Job benefits and perks:We provide a challenging and fun work environment, job security and opportunities to advance your career within a world leading company within compressor technique.
