If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at building lasting relationships, and have a keen understanding of the shipping industry, we want to hear from you!Key responsibilities:Strategic Account ManagementDevelop and execute comprehensive account strategies to drive growth in container volumes and profitabilityConduct regular business reviews with key clients, focusing on shipping performance metrics and service improvementsImplement tailored shipping solutions that address clients' specific trade lane and cargo requirementsUtilize advanced analytics to identify trends in container traffic and opportunities within client accountsLead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless end-to-end container shipping servicesProactively manage capacity allocation and equipment availability for key accountsBusiness Development and Trade Lane ExpansionIdentify and pursue high-value opportunities within existing accounts and new trade routesDevelop innovative container shipping solutions, including specialized cargo handling (e.g., reefer, dangerous goods)Create and present compelling proposals highlighting ZIM's unique value proposition in specific trade lanesLeverage industry knowledge to position ZIM New Zealand as a leader in container shipping servicesCollaborate with global teams to develop and implement multi-regional shipping strategiesStay ahead of industry trends, including vessel technology, port developments, and environmental regulationsSales Operations and Coordination SupportProvide support to the country sales manager through operational oversight and accountability of the sales coordination functionOversee, optimize, and ensure execution of all recurring sales coordination processesEnsure sales coordination resource is optimized within the department to provide the most efficient levels of support to front line salesIdentify any/all opportunities to automate sales coordination processes to best serve the local agencyRequirements:Experience in Account Management within shipping/logistics industryProven track record of delivering business resultsStrong relationship management and communication skillsCommercial acumen with analytical and negotiation skillsSelf-motivated with consistent accountability for targetsStrong attention to detail and accuracy
