Position Overview:The Key Account Manager (KAM) for Food & Nutrition - Bakery Segment is responsible for handling Connell Caldic's most important customer accounts.
The person must build and maintain a strong relationship with each customer at all levels of the customer organization.
Be the lead point-of-contact, anticipate customers' needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the customer are met and help the customer succeed.
The person will also bring in new businesses from existing customers and develop new relationships with potential customers.The successful KAM should be able to draw on company resources to develop and implement strategic solutions to achieve key customers' long-term goals, analyze customer information, data and market information to develop business and marketing strategies to strengthen the business relationship with the key account and develop mutually profitable business opportunity.This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy acting as a strategic advisor to key customers.
The KAM adds indispensable value to our customers by demonstrating how we directly contribute to their bottom lines.Key Responsibilities:Developing and sustaining solid relationships with key customers.Acting as the main point of contact between key customers and Connell Caldic's internal resources.Able to develop relationships at all levels of customer organization from the CEO to the Purchasing Assistant.Developing in-depth understanding of key customers, their objectives and their position in the market and industry.Using thorough understanding of key customers' needs and requirements to deliver customized solutions that will help them grow their businesses.Negotiate contracts with key customers and meet established deadlines for the fulfillment of each customer's long-term goals.Addressing and resolving key customers' complaints.Achieve given sales targets.Position Requirements & Key Abilities:Bachelor's degree in business, science or related qualification.
Advance Science degree or MBA will be an added advantage.Minimum 5 years of Sales experience in the B2B Food or related industry.
B2B specialty food distribution industry would be highly advantageous.Proven experience in key account management in Technical Solution Sales.Commercial knowhow in pipeline development, pricing (top and bottom line).Ability to build rapport with both technical and purchasing at various customers.Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as CRM software (Dynamics).Ability to handle multiple customer accounts.Strong negotiation and leadership skills.Exceptional customer service skills.Excellent communication skills.Key Personal Attributes:Leadership and strategic thinking skillsCustomer orientedResults orientedProblem solving skillsCustomer and industry knowledgeTechnical and concept selling skillsCommitment to collaborationExhibits and inspires integrityInspires trustManagement skillsOutstanding communicatorAble to bridge cultural differencesPlease note that this is a general description of the role and its requirements.
