New Zealand's leading security company, trusted since 1939, is currently seeking full-time and part-time Kennel Attendants to join their Whangarei team in their brand new shelter.
About the role:
Clean & maintain canine enclosures, feed, exercise & provide some love to canines large and small is part of the day-to-day duty of care of a kennel attendant, but not limited to.

Mandatory Requirements:
You must consent to and be able to satisfy pre-employment checks to progress through the recruitment process.
As a minimum, these will include: Driver Licence, Credit, Ministry of Justice Criminal History Check, Immigration.
Currently live in the Whangarei region.
Someone who is genuinely respectful & confident with handling & caring for our shelter dogs.
A current Certificate of Approval or the ability to obtain one (Security Licence).
Full clean NZ driver's licence required.
Good overall fitness level as there is an immense amount of walking.
Articulate and a comprehensive understanding of the written and spoken English language.
Cultural understanding and awareness is required.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Ability to work in a busy environment & remain focused & calm.
Knowledge of the Code of Welfare for a Kennel environment would be an advantage.
First aid certificate an advantage.
Certificate in Animal Welfare or similar an advantage.
Compliance with company SOPs and Health & Safety Regulations.
Display sound judgement and ability to make informed decisions.
Successful applicants will have NZ Permanent Residency, NZ Resident, or Open Work Visa.
