Mana o te Tangata Trust is a Kaupapa Maori Mental Health & Addiction Peer Support Service.It is more than just a "job" as you will become an integral part of Tangata whaiora recovery journey.
Naturally, you will be passionate, have integrity, be compassionate, and professional.Your role is to implement and deliver recovery-focused support programmes and activities that will complement the well-being of Tangata Whaiora and Whanau who experience mental distress and/or addiction issues within the Manawatu district.As a service, we base our delivery on 4 Key principles:It is the intention of our service to incorporate the concepts of Te Whare Tapa Wha - Taha Hinengaro, Taha Wairua, Taha Tinana, and Taha Whanau into skills that will assist Tangata whaiora and their whanau to live their lives free from mental health and addiction services.The successful candidate will:Be recovery focusedWork alongside individuals and groupsNurture hope and personal empowermentInspire people to move forward in their livesUnderstand interventions & strategiesBe able to design and facilitate group programmesHave a good level of MS Office skillsHave a full driver's licenseAct in a professional manner and have a can-do attitudeHow do your skills match this job?Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?What's your expected hourly rate?Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?
