We are looking for a Kaupapa Mental Health and Addictions practitioner who has at least 8 – 10 years' experience working across the mental health and addictions sector to join their team.He aha te tunga | About the roleEncompassing Kawerau and the surrounding district, the Kaupapa Crises Lead will be the first point of call to service the crises need of whanau who present with mental health addiction needs between 2:30 pm – 9:30 pm.Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager or Appointee, this position is aimed at ensuring eligible whanau have timely access to high quality mental health and addiction support services and other support where identified.Key responsibilities of the role:Undertake comprehensive and accurate triage, assessment, and risk assessment of clientsIdentify and mobilise immediate interventions and support to stabilise the crises within the first 24 – 72 hoursProvide greater access to crises support and services after hoursProvide short-term case management and wrap around supportEnsure whanau are connected with the appropriate follow up interventions, support and wrap around pathwaysFacilitate access to support services, arrange referrals to external agenciesComplete reporting requirements, ensuring strict client confidentialityNga pukenga me whai | Ideal candidate requirementsThe role requires a Kaupapa Mental Health and Addictions practitioner who has at least 8 – 10 years' experience working across the mental health and addictions sector.
