Our team has an equity focus working in partnership with communities. We work in various settings to promote health and wellbeing, reduce inequities and work alongside focus populations to support them in building on their strengths to address priorities, for example alcohol harm reduction, workplace wellbeing, and mental wellbeing. Our mahi involves building connections and maintaining effective relationships; as the Kaiwhakatairanga Hauora – Health Promotion Advisor, you will be involved in: Working as part of a team with colleagues in Te Whatu Ora, supported by our Community and Whanau Wellbeing Leadership team members Establish effective and trusted relationships with key stakeholders to support the implementation of health promotion processes and initiatives e.g health promoting workplaces including WorkWell, wellbeing and mental health promotion Collaborating with community, other organisations and sectors, to identify and address health and wellbeing priorities Mou ake | About you We are looking for a motivated team member who enjoys connecting and working with community partners and settings, such as workplaces and NGOs. In this role you will build and maintain great working relationships with community partners in Southland to support the implementation of health promotion strategies, and work with workplaces to support sustainable health promotion approaches to workplace wellbeing. You will have excellent organisational, communication and computer skills. You will have the confidence to build successful working relationships with those around you, the ability to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team environment. You will also bring experience in community development or health promotion.
