Job Description
We reckon Z has some great content opportunities and this is your chance to make it yours! Joining the Z whanau as our Kaiwhakahaere Pae Papaho Papori Social Media Manager will see you work with a diverse range of topics, from our marketing campaigns to digital products, product launches through to industry changes and our low carbon future.
It is a broad role and a key one here at Z; responsibility for creating strategy, working with our agency partners and managing the day-to-day operations of our channels is all yours. Naturally connecting with people and a passion for keeping your knowledge up to date will see you work across the Z business, identifying and delivering awesome social media moments!
This role can be based in either Tamaki Makaurau Auckland or Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington.
You will have the opportunity to:

Develop annual social media strategy including benchmarking and regularly measure against benchmarks to report on and improve performance
Work with our agencies to create effective and efficient social media activity that delivers to brand strategy
Actively review social media activity in conjunction with agencies and propose and manage improvements
Be Z's internal subject matter expert on social media platforms and remain up to date with changes
Implement test and learn activities to ensure Z Energy social media is powering better journeys, today and tomorrow
Provide guidance and feedback to our customer service agency who provide community management

Qualifications
What you'll bring to Z:

You would have spent the last 3-5 years working in a social media focused role either inhouse or with an agency
You will be used to responsibility, working as a sole operator and are comfortable with decision making.
A creative eye, you know the content that will work, when to release it and how to draw in an audience
The drive and passion needed to keep yourself, and Z at the top of the game
Fantastic communication skills to be able to balance the needs and priorities of multiple stakeholders
Knowledge of a commercial environment and acumen
A bias for action and the ability to execute at pace in an agile environment

And of course, you'll be passionate about what matters to Z, embracing and living our values to help us deliver on our aspirations and broader commitment to Aotearoa New Zealand.

The base salary range for this role is $96,900 to $114,000 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
