Te Puni Kokiri is the government's principal policy advisor on Maori wellbeing and development. We achieve strategic influence with a focus on providing high-quality policy advice and holding other agencies to account for delivering public services to, for and with Maori. This includes our mandate to promote Maori achievement in education, training, health, and economic resource development along with performing our monitoring and mentoring roles.
Our National Office is on the move and will soon be working in a different way. We need an experienced Project Manager with expertise in large, complex project delivery and change management processes to oversee this. This fixed term is expected to finish on Friday 27 June 2025.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of a large, complex, and ongoing building relocation project within a fixed time frame. This includes:
Influencing and updating key stakeholders throughout the project. Running workshops and facilitating meetings to get stakeholder feedback.Using Agile and Waterfall methodologies to successfully plan, manage, and execute our move.Maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout the process, including status reports, meeting minutes, and lessons learned.Providing technical and strategic advice to executive leadership through the project.They will also perform an important Change Management function throughout the process, ensuring that our kaimahi are well supported both throughout and post move. In doing so, they ensure that our kaimahi will be able to adapt well to our new way of working.
The appointment range for this role is between $133,248 - $183,216 per annum and the salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills and experience. Ko wai koe | About you This position carries with it the expectation that you have the tools and experience to hit the ground running and can work at the required pace from day one. We are looking for:
5+ years' experience in project management, including working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Demonstrated experience in large complex project delivery and in using software management tools to manage and monitor projects.Excellent influencing skills, including at the Executive Level.Ability to operate with a high degree of self-management and reliance.
