This position provides oversight of the business contracts in Te Kei takiwa, which is inclusive of managing 10 contractors in the Lower North Island and South Island.
You will be part of a team that is keen on maintaining and improving tikanga and kaupapa Maori within your whare.This position oversees programme management and educational experiences for tauira and stakeholders.
Some of the responsibilities include covering kaiako in class delivery, monitoring teaching staff performance, managing the tauira recruitment process, and maintaining accurate academic processes and procedures.Mou | About youThe ideal candidate will be a passionate and capable leader with a commitment to excellence in educational delivery, a strong understanding of tikanga Maori, and the ability to inspire and support a team of kaiako to achieve outstanding outcomes for tauira and stakeholders.You will bring with you the following:Fluency in te reo and tikanga MaoriBachelor Degree in Education, Management or CommerceCertificate in Adult Tertiary Education (Level 5)Assessment and moderation standards (4098, 11281, 18203) or New Zealand Certificate in Assessment Practice (Level 4)Membership or registration of a professional body if the qualification requires it (e.g., SWRB or Teaching Registration)Full New Zealand Drivers' LicenseStrong personnel skills to work with stakeholders that are essential to the programme's success.5+ years' experience managing staff in a tertiary education environment5+ years delivering quality education3+ years teaching experienceAs a kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.Please Note: Te Wananga o Aotearoa is closed from 19 December 2024 and re-opens on 15 January 2025.
