Mo tenei mahi | About this job We are seeking a Kaiwhakahaere Ako – Manager Educational Delivery to manage a team of Contractors and Kaiako within the Te Tai Tokerau Region (Whangarei – Kaitaia) for Te Ihu Takiwa. This is a 12-month fixed term, full-time position, starting January 2025 and ending January 2026. As a Kaiwhakahaere Ako, you will offer strong leadership and management skills to support our Kaiako and Contractors to provide high-quality educational experiences for tauira and stakeholders. Collaboration with our Kairuruku (National Programme Manager) and other key stakeholders is key to ensure curriculum goals are met. You will oversee programme management and delivery of programmes delivered in Te Tai Tokerau. Some of the responsibilities include teaching and delivery, monitoring kaiako and contractor performance, supporting the tauira recruitment process, and maintaining accurate academic processes and procedures. Mou | About you The ideal candidate is an inspiring leader with strong management skills, capable of motivating a team of educators to deliver exceptional learning experiences while effectively collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve curriculum goals. You will also bring the following: You will have a Bachelor's Degree in Education or similar field (minimum qualification) – Master's Degree (or working towards preferred).Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) or equivalency.Full New Zealand Drivers' License.You will be an exceptional leader with at least 5 years' experience in a tertiary education environment.5+ years' proven experience delivering quality education and teaching experience.Proficient in Te Reo and Tikanga Maori. As a kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
