Mo te turanga / About the Role: Reporting to the Kaihautu, the Kaiurungi Tu works with their senior leadership peers to ensure the sustainable growth of RIT's asset base and the vitality of our iwi and Rongowhakaatatanga. You are responsible for managing your team, assets, taiao programmes, and oversee commercial projects, all while fostering the voice and kaupapa of our marae and hapu.
Nga Haepapa | Key Responsibilities: Lead the Whakaata function; managing Rongowhakaata's assets, developing and driving investment strategy in alignment with iwi values and goals to enhance investment in our people assets and whenuaOversee taiao programmes and deliveryLean into our flourishing Native Nursery to empower its continued growth and successBuild strong relationships with TGHL Board, marae, hapu, and stakeholders to support Whakaata kaupapa.Working closely with RIT senior leadership team to ensure collective success and growth of the organisation and iwiHave a commercial curiosity that opens doors to new opportunities and practicesYou will need to be comfortable challenging the status quo and driving system development Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience: Extensive experience in commercial strategy, asset management, or project leadershipProven knowledge of tikanga Maori and te Ao Maori, with the ability to embed these principles into systems and decisions. Familiarity with Rongowhakaata tikanga, kawa and identity is desired, but not required.
