This is Te Tumu Paeroa, guardian, support and advancer of the mana of Maori land everywhere.Our role is to provide professional trustee services for Maori. We do this by carrying out the terms of trusts and ensuring the whenua is protected and enhanced for future generations.Based in Rotorua, this role is responsible for supporting their Matanga Taiwhenua | Rural Specialist or Kaitohutohu Taiwhenua | Rural Advisor to manage a portfolio of trusts, ensuring that whenua managed by Te Tumu Paeroa is compliant with current regulations, whenua and property asset projects are planned, monitored and delivered to agreed standards, supporting the identification of land use and development opportunities for whenua and ensuring high standards of service delivery.This role requires some travel and occasional weekend work.In this role, your responsibilities will include:Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of trusts within your portfolio.Contribute to annual planning processes for your team. Where required, contribute to organisation wide planning processes, ensuring continuity of services across Te Tumu Paeroa.Actively manage and complete/resolve follow-up activities in a timely manner.Ensure Maori Land Court directions are understood and effectively managed, monitored and delivered.Ideally 1-3 years' experience in the farming/agribusiness sector.Some experience covering farm compliance actions or management, this includes farm management.An understanding of local and national legislation affecting the primary sector. Training can be provided for the right applicant.Good ability to deliver farm compliance, working alongside lessees, Maori landowners and regional councils.This role is of a delivery nature opposed to enforcement.An understanding of the balance between environmental outcomes and the effects on farm operations.Excellent skills in building and fostering strong internal and external relationships.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent time management and organisation skills.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Dynamics NAV, SharePoint and/or M365 is a plus.A desire and ability to practise correct pronunciation of Te Reo Maori is essential.Eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential.He pehea te tono | How to apply:You can apply via SEEK or email us on ******.
