Full timeBased in Rotorua, this role is responsible for supporting their Matanga Taiwhenua | Rural Specialist to manage a portfolio of trusts, ensuring that whenua managed by Te Tumu Paeroa is compliant with current regulations, and whenua and property asset projects are planned, monitored and delivered to agreed standards. This role will also help support the identification of land use and development opportunities for whenua and ensuring high standards of service delivery.This role requires some travel and occasional weekend work.In this role, your responsibilities will include:Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of trusts within your portfolio.Contribute to annual planning processes for your team. Contribute to organisation wide planning processes, ensuring continuity of services across Te Tumu Paeroa.Working closely with the Rural Advisor/Specialist to contribute to the development and maintenance of Asset Management Plans.Actively manage and complete/resolve follow-up activities in a timely manner.Ensure Maori Land Court directions are understood and effectively managed, monitored and delivered.This role is of a delivery nature opposed to enforcement.Ideally 1-3 years experience in the farming/agribusiness sector.Experience covering farm compliance actions or management, this includes farm management.An understanding of local and national legislation affecting the primary sector.Excellent skills in building and fostering strong internal and external relationships.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Dynamics NAV, SharePoint and/or M365 is a plus.Eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential.Pae Tahi- Te Whakahua | A desire and ability to practise correct pronunciation of Te Reo Maori (essential).Pae Tahi- No Ia Ra | An understanding and living of Tikanga Maori on a day-to-day level, for example, the removing of shoes before entering a whare, washing hands at the urupa and not sitting on tables (essential).So that the foundations of ancestral lands may be solid, benefitting Maori from our past, present and future alike.
