The communications team is responsible for building and protecting the reputation of the Ministry, to support its role as stewards of the environmental management system. The team advises on and delivers all external and internal proactive and reactive communications for the Ministry, including land management, freshwater, oceans, climate change, waste and biodiversity. The team also supports Ministerial-led communications and works closely with other agencies to ensure alignment of messaging and approaches for key work programmes across government. This role is responsible for taking a lead role with the Ministry's social media channels and media monitoring. The role will also provide communications support across some key environmental portfolios of the Ministry. We are looking for a person with strong communication and social media skills, who is both a team player and a self-starter, and is keen to build their skills in a range of communications disciplines. Salary range for this role is $79,598 to $96,372pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
