Join our team as a Senior Advisor, where you will play a vital role in establishing and supporting the implementation of the Wai 2358 retrospective claimant funding policy and the current funding policy.
You will also provide support to the teams within MFE responding to freshwater litigation, including to help ensure MFE is successful in its role as lead agency for the Wai 2358 inquiry.
While this role sits within Te Tiriti and Te Ao Maori business unit, you will work closely with our Natural Environment team and Tumatakokiri.
Nga pukenga me nga wheako Skills and experience Understanding of machinery of government Understanding of Waitangi Tribunal processes would be beneficial Litigation skills preferred but not essential Familiarity with Maori rights and interests in freshwater would be beneficial Strong project management skills and financial acumen Strong written and oral communication skills Capable of liaising and building relationships across the Ministry and with other agencies Excellent Microsoft and word processing skills, including database management Excellent attention to detail Salary range : Salary range for this role is from $108,976 up to $132,277 p/a.
Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
