Join the Ministry for the Environment and play a pivotal role in establishing a new function to implement the fast-track approvals legislation. This fixed-term opportunity offers the chance to work at pace in a dynamic environment, collaborating across government to deliver impactful outcomes.

Reporting to the Manager Delivery, this role will provide strategic guidance and operational deliverables under the Fast Track Approvals legislation. Assess applications for Ministerial referral, coordinating with multiple agencies and stakeholders to deliver timely and high-quality advice to Ministers.

At least 7 years in central and local government with experience in administering fast-track legislation or similar legislation (e.g. RMA).
Experience in the establishment and implementation of a new function or major programme.
Ability to work at pace, through significant change and ambiguity, and deliver quality advice for decision makers.
Experience taking programmes from policy to operational implementation.
Degree in environmental science, resource management, planning, engineering, law, or related field.

Salary range for this role is from $108,976 up to $132,277 p/a. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
