Working alongside and supporting your region, you will form long-term relationships while understanding the context of your region.
This includes:Supporting the region to deliver on the work programmeSupporting the Regional Director and Team Leader to build a strong presence for Te Puni Kokiri in the region to support the implementation of Government policiesProviding mentoring and coaching to Advisors within the regionManaging the flow of information between Maori and the Policy team for programme evaluationManaging local level provider contracts including reporting and funding approvalsThe appointment range of this role is $93,317 - $115,743 per annum and the salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills and experience.Ko wai koe About youTo be successful in this role you:Have experience working with whanau, hapu, iwi, Maori organisations and communities.Have a high level of understanding of the Machinery of Government, public service and public sector processes.Understand the rationale and mechanisms of government intervention.Have commercial experience with keen analytical skills and the ability to identify and support possible growth opportunities.Have the ability to identify, build and actively manage significant relationships, valuing diverse perspectives and experiences.Are comfortable working in a te ao Maori environment and are comfortable in a kaupapa Maori environment.Have a broad understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi and Te Tiriti o Waitangi and recognise the importance of the Treaty from both Maori and Crown perspectives.Have a level of competency in te reo Maori, or a willingness to learn.Ka whiwhi koe i te aha What you will get in returnTe Puni Kokiri is a diverse and rewarding working environment full of passionate people focused on discovering solutions that will assist in serving our communities.
