Cyclone Gabrielle, and other, more recent weather events have challenged the Ikaroa-Rawhiti rohe, a region built on community, resilience and with manaakitanga at its heart. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior advisor with a passion for working with and advising iwi to work out of our Hastings office.

The Senior Advisor leads work with whanau, hapu, iwi, Maori organisations, and Maori communities to develop and implement initiatives that will improve long-term economic and social outcomes for Maori. They are a conduit for information both into and out of Maori communities, managing and analysing information at a local level on Maori views, aspirations and experiences to contribute to Te Puni Kokiri policy thinking.

As a stakeholder relationship leader, the Senior Advisor manages local level contractual arrangements and informs investment decisions, including in partnership with the other Te Puni Kokiri teams.
