Te Puni Kokiri is the government's principal policy advisor on Maori wellbeing and development. We achieve strategic influence with a focus on providing high quality policy advice and holding other agencies to account for delivering public services to, for, and with Maori. This includes our mandate to promote Maori achievement in education, training, health and economic resource development along with performing our monitoring and mentoring roles.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced regional business analyst to join our Regions puni and drive success against Te Puni Kokiri's priorities.
Te whai wahitanga | The opportunity
An internal facing position, the Regional Business Analyst plays an important support role, providing business acumen across the Ikaroa-Rawhiti rohe, while reporting to the Manager, Performance Support based in the National Office in Wellington. You will:
Provide practical management of regional business and investment planning, budget and financial management processes
Establish and maintain effective systems for reporting on the impacts of investments, and facilitation and brokerage across the rohe
Be a channel for information into and out of regional offices as required
The appointment range for this role is $77,170 - $97,160 per annum and the salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills and experience.

Minimum Requirements:
Exceptional relationship management skills. Can quickly build in-person rapport with a range of stakeholders
Successful experience operating within a Public Service environment and understanding the business cycles of core government
Professional expertise in Business Administration or a supporting discipline
Proficiency with Microsoft packages especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Presentation skills and the personal credibility to be able to speak with authority on behalf of Te Puni Kokiri
Strong knowledge and understanding of te ao Maori and are comfortable working in an environment where tikanga is observed
A clean full motor vehicle driver's licence.
A tertiary qualification in management or related discipline (or studying towards qualification) is preferred
