Job Description Our Lubricants Team perform an important role by supporting a base of commercial customers across New Zealand with high quality Caltex Lubricants, providing both the products and the technical support to keep their businesses moving.

Working as a Kaitaki Hononga Pakihi - Hekewaku Account Manager – Lubricants will see you build and maintain successful business relationships with a portfolio of customers.
Your focus will be identifying and securing new business opportunities as well as maintaining an existing customer base promoting Caltex Lubricants as a market leader across all product ranges and market sectors Using your experience and knowledge of account management, sales and the industry you will support the team to implement sales strategies and grow capability across the diverse and passionate team providing support in achieving the team's goals and market share growth. We are looking for a January 2025 start with a handover provided. This role is based out of our Tauranga office and covers our North Island customer base, south of Kirikiriroa Hamilton.

You will have the opportunity to Identify and secure new business opportunities Manage, support and advise an existing customer base ensuring trusting relationships and managing profitability to ensure retention Increase volume and revenue and meeting targets in alignment with the Lubricants team strategy Use your knowledge to lead RFP tenders, contract negotiation and account reviews including analysis of market trends and customer performance Work closely with the Lubricants Manager to create and implement sales strategies Support and grow capability within the team Travel across the beautiful North Island!
Qualifications What you'll bring to Z Significant experience in an Account or Sales Manager role with demonstrated experience of both building new business and maintaining existing relationships The drive to seek out new opportunities and the experience and knowledge to convert these into loyal customers We are ideally looking for a candidate with experience and expertise in the lubricants industry, this might be in sales, or might be as a user of the products A customer focus and the ability to design and deliver an exceptional Z experience Boundless energy, determination and enthusiasm for driving success and growing the business!
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and relate to a diverse range of customers The ability to support and mentor people and a genuine desire to bring others on the journey through knowledge sharing Flexibility to commit to a role with regular travel and a clean driver's license And of course, you'll be passionate about what matters to Z, embracing and living our values to help us deliver on our aspirations and broader commitment to Aotearoa New Zealand.
