Volunteer Coordination & Support (Community Services & Development)Full timeAdd expected salary to your profile for insightsFull Time Position based in New PlymouthTo create supportive and enduring relationships in the lives of taiohi through positive mentoring from a caring adultTo provide casework services to mentors, taiohi, and whanau through matching, supervising/maintaining matches, advocacy and liaison with external agencies. This involves visiting whanau and local schools.To enhance the Tuakana Teina experience for our taiohi.This role is also to ensure that operational policies and processes replicating the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of NZ Practice Standards and as set by the NZ Board are followed.Can you follow a process and have outstanding communication skills.The successful applicants will have the following:A tertiary qualification and/or previous experience in social work, education or social sector.Proven history working with young people and their families/whanau.An understanding of the Te Tiriti O Waitangi and a commitment to working in a bi-cultural way.Organizational and time management skills are essential.Must be self-motivated and show good initiative.Practical ExerciseAn essential part of the recruitment process is to demonstrate the key competencies for position.
