Your role will involve delivering personalized, Kiritaki (client) centered care in their homes and within the community. What You'll Do Provide Hands-On Support: Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Offer medication support, mobility assistance, and help with daily household duties.Engage and Connect: Build meaningful relationships with Kiritaki and their whanau (families) while embracing their unique cultural needs and preferences.Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with our clinical staff and community agencies to ensure high-quality care and effective support.Promote Independence: Encourage self-determination and assist Kiritaki in accessing community resources and activities. What We're Looking For Preferred: Qualifications: Working towards or already holding a Level 2 Health and Wellbeing Certificate. Higher levels may be required for supporting complex needs or brain injuries.Experience: Previous experience as a support worker or work in the health-care sector.Skills: Strong communication abilities in English, teamwork, and a genuine understanding of Kiritaki needs.Attributes: Respectful, adaptable, and proactive, with a professional and trustworthy demeanour.Empathy: Understanding of the unique challenges and needs associated with living with a life impacting injury or disability.
