Listed 2 days Ago Te Oranganui is looking for a talented Service Manager to provide progressive leadership and oversight of our AOD programme located within Kaitoke Prison. The Whakahaumanu Mana Tane Service Manager plays a key role in leading a multi-disciplinary and flexible team working through strong relationships to influence others and build support and ownership for shared, collective advice and delivery of effective quality services.
The role will support and deliver an effective kaupapa Maori alcohol and drug programme based in the Te Tirohanga Whare and High Security of the Whanganui Prison, as well as provide support to continuing care in the Rangitikei and Whanganui District focused on helping participants make positive changes in their lives and reduce recidivism.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity The successful applicant will have experience with programme design and development, ideally a relevant clinical qualification, and have experience in AoD work and leading teams to achieve successful outcomes. It is essential that you believe in people's ability to change and are comfortable working in a prison environment.
Key responsibilities: Ongoing management and analysis of service delivery that supports improvement when necessary and supports the team to carry out its core functions.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the contractual obligations of Whakahaumanu Mana Tane services and ensure that tasks are distributed to meet the overall obligations of the service.Implement a planning process within the service that contributes to the outputs and outcomes of contracts.Report on performance and completion of contracts as required by the Mataiwhetu (CEO) and/or Mataiawa (GM).Oversee strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.A clinical qualification and a relevant practising certificate that meets requirements under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 or working towards a clinical qualification;A full member of DAPAANZ or working towards full membership;Practical experience within the addictions sector - group and one-to-one;Sound understanding of the legislative framework, standards, and best practice methodology that apply to clinical management within the AOD and Corrections sector;Experience in leading and managing people;Ability to uphold the fundamental values of Tikanga Maori;Willingness to work in a Kaupapa Maori environment.Ko wai matou | Who are we Investing in transformational wellbeing where whanau are at the centre of everything we do.
