Atamira Dance Collective Charitable Trust is seeking expressions of interest for an exciting new Kaihautu position to lead the company into the future.
ABOUT THE COMPANY  Atamira Dance Company is a platform where te ao Maori and dance converge, where creativity brings matauranga Maori, whakapapa, and stories to life.
Established in 2000, the company is now at the forefront of Maori contemporary dance in Aotearoa | New Zealand.
With an outstanding reputation for artistic excellence, nurturing talent, and producing transformative experiences that resonate globally, the company offers a rich and diverse annual programme of performances, workshops, wananga, classes, and community activities.
Atamira regularly tours within Aotearoa and has also toured internationally to Australia, Noumea, USA, Hawai?i, Taiwan, Korea and China.
The company is currently touring Ka Mua Ka Muri, a new work featuring a double bill by choreographers and long-standing Atamira artists Bianca Hyslop and Eddie Elliot.
ABOUT THE ROLE  Te amorangi ki mua, te hapai o ki muri The Kaihautu will be responsible for the artistic and operational leadership of Atamira, charting creative and business pathways into the future, and ensuring that Atamira is a stimulating, safe, and enjoyable place to work.
Leading the artistic vision, the Kaihautu will develop annual programmes and work with Atamira's community of artists to produce high-quality dance projects.
To ensure the future sustainability of the company the Kaihautu will also oversee funding, secure new revenue streams, develop audiences, and manage stakeholder relationships.
ABOUT YOU  As a visionary leader within the arts sector, you will have experience leading creative and operational teams, and meeting strategic objectives.
