The Whanganui Regional Museum has two rare and exciting opportunities to join our small but mighty team.
We are looking for individuals with energy, curiosity and the ability to work with the public.
These roles help the museum to share, translate and unlock the knowledge and potential for reconnection in our collections.
Whanganui is a great town with a huge focus on arts, culture and the outdoors.
The lifestyle is fantastic, and our community is very supportive.The Kaihapai Taonga Maori/ Taonga Maori Collection Managerwill help the Museum speak with authority and authenticity, specifically in terms of its bicultural practice and operations, particularly in relationship to our internationally significant taonga collection.
Working closely with our Pou Rauhi/Maori Advisor, you will focus on collection documentation and care; interpretation of the collections in museum programming; and repatriation and iwi/hapu liaison.
