Te Puni Kokiri is the government's principal policy advisor on Maori wellbeing and development. We achieve strategic influence with a focus on providing high quality policy advice and holding other agencies to account for delivering public services to, for and with Maori. This includes our mandate to promote Maori achievement in education, training, health and economic resource development along with performing our monitoring and mentoring roles.We have an exciting opportunity for an administrator looking to gain meaningful experience in property administration and within the public sector.Te whai wahitanga | The opportunityAs one of two administrators within the wider team, this kaimahi is responsible for providing timely, effective support to the Manager, Property & Facilities, Senior Advisors and across Te Puni Kokiri. They will:Work collaboratively with other administrators and kaimai to provide an integrated, seamless service. This includes building close relationships with other support roles in other puni.Coordinate maintenance and security requests across the property portfolio.Keep our registers up to date, including travel and fleet management (fuel cards, driver check register, insurance claim forms).Support wider team key tasks including invoices and scanning and filing.Provide reception coverage for the Kaihapai Manuhiri for leave and breaks.Perform administration tasks as directed by the manager.The appointment range for this role is between $54,428 and $67,307 per annum and the salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills and experience.Proficient with the Microsoft suite of products, and with an ability to learn new systems and processes quickly, you might be an administrator with property support experience and/or are early career looking for a new position in a fast-paced environment where you can learn and develop your skillset. We are looking for:Administration experience, preferably within property and facilities services.Excellent communication skills, including written and confident talking to and interacting with other kaimahi.Adaptability and the ability to pivot your mahi towards the needs of the team.Numerical proficiency, with a basic understanding of financial processes, invoices and accruals.Comfortable working in a te ao Maori environment and in situations where tikanga is observed.A degree of fluency in te reo Maori would be beneficial to the mahi required of the position.Tau e whai ai | What you will get in returnTe Puni Kokiri is a diverse and rewarding working environment full of passionate people focused on discovering solutions that will assist in serving our communities.
