Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team of Kaiatawhai who work in a multidisciplinary setting. The role involves assisting both patients/whanau and staff to reach the desired outcomes. You will posses the following skills; · Ability to work unsupervised · Experience in working in a multidisciplinary setting · Experience and or understanding of how to deal with trauma situations from a Maori perspective · An understanding of implementing the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi · Able to interpret a process of tikanga Maori while also supporting staff. · Knowledge of Tikanga Maori & Te Reo would be an advantage in this position. · This position is based with the Auckland Hospital Kaiatawhai team and dedicated to furthering Maori health service delivery throughout Auckland Hospital. This is a full-time position, the hours being 8am-4pm Monday-Friday.
